The council wanted to introduce an integrated system whereby all 400 budget holders could enter, update and monitor forecasts simply, without the need for support from the central finance team.

Blueprint created a template-based system with an Excel front end that has helped budget managers to improve the council’s financial management. The system provides full visibility of the financial position, broken down to each individual budget holder and service area.
