Prince2 Practitioners (Project Management)

This two day course is the second of the two PRINCE2 examinations required to become a fully qualified and certified PRINCE2 Practitioner.

The first day of this course covers detailed exam scenarios and sample questions, and the second day is the examination.

Pre-requisites

  • The Prince2 Practitioners course can only be attended by delegates who have attended the PRINCE2 Foundation course and details will be required at the point of booking.
  • Familiarisation of the PRINCE2 manual is essential prior to attending this PRINCE2 course to increase the delegate’s chance of passing the exam
  • Delegates must bring signed photo ID with them on exam days (passport, driving licence, student card) as you will be asked to produce it by the invigilator prior to the exam

Topics covered

Day 1

During the first day the participants will be given exam scenarios and questions similar to those they will face in the practitioner exam. Each question session will be preceded by an overview of the question topic(s) covering the main points of the process, component or technique being tested.
This will be a structured day offering opportunities for Practitioner exam candidates to try out different styles of exam questions. It is expected that candidates supplement the learning from day 1 of the course by completing personal study in the evening.

Day 2 (Half day)

Delegates sit exams at 9am.

This PRINCE2 examination measures whether a candidate would be able to apply PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a project within an environment supporting PRINCE2.

They would need to exhibit the competence required for the Foundation qualification, and show that they can apply and tune PRINCE2 to address the needs and problems of a specific project scenario.  Specifically, delegates must be able to:

  • Produce detailed explanations of all processes, components and techniques, and worked examples of all PRINCE2 products as they might be applied to address the particular circumstances of a given project scenario.

  • Show they understand the relationships between processes, components, techniques and PRINCE2 products and can apply this understanding.

  • Demonstrate that they understand the reasons behind the processes, components and techniques of PRINCE2, and that they understand the principles underpinning these elements.

  • Demonstrate their ability to tune PRINCE2 to different project circumstances.
