XI3.1 Universe Design
SAP BusinessObjects Universe Design provides all the skills needed to design, build and maintain an SAP BusinessObjects Universe.
Delegates will learn universe design concepts and terminology as well as the role of universes in relation to SAP BusinessObjects reporting tools.
Who should attend?
The target audience for this course is anyone responsible for creating and designing universes in SAP BusinessObjects
Delegates will be able to
- Design, build and maintain SAP BusinessObjects universes.
- Understand universe design concepts and terminology, as well as the role of universes in relation to SAP BusinessObjects reporting tools.
- Understand the process for planning, designing and creating a universe, then walk through the process of designing a universe that responds to identified requirements.
- Utilise best practice methodology for creating universes that respond to reporting requirements.
- Allow report designers and business users to create reports without having to know anything about the underlying data source or structure.

Prerequisites
Delegates must have attended the following courses,
- SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence XI R2 Report Design and/or Web Intelligence XI 3.0/3.1 Report Design and/or Web Intelligence FastTrack Rich Client or Web Intelligence FastTrack Web Client
Knowledge and experience of,
- The meta data and the logical structure of the databases in your organisation.
- Using and working with SQL and relational database management systems.
