The client had approximately 15 businesses in different geographical areas running separate but identical databases. The principle challenge was to reduce the length of time it took to run queries - some of which could take up to three days.
Blueprint were able to revise the Universe so that codes, instead of values, were used as query objects, and the complex list of values (LOV) queries were constructed to enable users to navigate the correct codes via literal values.
As a result the process was greatly simplified. The three day query now took a matter of hours allowing business decisions to be made more speedily and effectively.
